My midlife crisis EG hatch had a GSR (B18C1) swap. I to traded for reliability to travel 4 hrs each way to see the kids. The coupe had a d-series zc motor. That's a nice little mill. Mated to an SI gearbox it's pretty fun to drive. You're not going to win any races, but it's fun

Can you talk as to why these engines rotated counterclockwise and the reason for that design?

D16 VTECs are the goat of soho engines.

Its still an insane engine though. Where else can you find a single cam i4 that revs up to 7k rpm inside a car. Corolla single cams with the same displacement go to like 5500.

I got one in my wagon, ran without coolant for sevral hard hours of driving and i didnt even notice and it didnt care and it ran the same
