What does anxiety feel like? To a normy, this is the best I can describe. Imagine, you misplaced your smartphone. Immediately you become concerned and hyper focused. With each passing minute the level of stress increases. You think to yourself thoughts you don’t normally think. Like, I must’ve left it at Starbucks and someone saw it and took it. Fucking a holes! Why would they steal it and not turn it in. Your mind turns to a frenzy and you begin to sweat and worry. You can feel your heart rate elevate as you think to yourself how am I going to pay for a new phone. You then call yourself stupid out loud over and over again as your frantically search the same places you did three times. The reality begins to sink in that it is gone forever and all that precious information, apps and photos you spent a good year accumulating are now gone! And everyone else around you who saw you acting like a chicken with their head cut off will have that memory of you forever. You now become so hyper close minded and shut everything else around you down. Now. Imagine you never lost your phone. But you wake up feeling just as I described for no apparent reason.
