Socialism is a political concept. Capitalism is an economic concept. People often make that mistake.
You can be socialist and capitalist.
You can't be capitalist and communist tho, as communism is also an economic concept that is in direct conflict with capitalism.
Socialism is the political philosophy that coordinates communism, the economic philosophy.
