Keto has improved my arthritis in my back, knee and elbows so much that going back is not really a choice.

I have been keto/carnivore for three years. My health has improved immensely, my chronic liver disease has completely reversed, I have lost over 50 pounds and gained significant strength and muscle mass. I feel better than I have since I was a young man. I'm 75 and low carb has not only saved my life, but it has improved it beyond my wildest dreams.

Ive been ketovore about 90+% of the time since December 2019. Lost weight, 11% body fat, went from being prediabetic to not. Many aches and pains have disappeared, memory focus had improved, mood has improved, my skin is improved.

People on keto/carnivore have lost quite amount of weight. So their plumpness of their skin is not there anymore. So of course you see the loose skin. But you can't ignore the labs. People's labs are very healthy. BP down. Diabetes cured. People are getting off like 5 medications. That is healthy to me.

Great answers! Coincidentally I turned 65 today and so this milestone had me asking myself how young do I truly feel... I could almost say 25, though I shouldn't be ridiculous... so I'm saying 35. Except for the grey in my hair nothing else much gives away my age 👴🏻 #KETO

So funny. I've been on keto/low carb for 4 years. People ask how I'm aging in reverse...repeated unsolicited complements on my skin.

I'm 49 and feel better than I did at 40. I'm still overweight (but no longer obese) and I need to focus on fitness still...but it beats the pants off of the Standard American Diet.

My lab work is now "perfect" according to my doctors.

While I started out keto, I am now nutrition and ingredient conscious. I learned fathoms by following groups like this online. I learned about macros, nutrition, fasting etc. I’m not perfect, but I am happy with the way I look and feel. I started my journey at 49 and am 53 now. In these last 4 years I feel better than I ever did before. I put my scale in the closet and I’ll never look back. I’m sorry I didn’t learn about nutrition earlier. But now that I did, I know I’ll be at it for another 70 years. I watch the blue zones and plan on rubbing elbows with the blue zone population. Knowledge is power and I’ve never felt stronger about that statement as I do now. Keto is a great tool in your tool box and should use it accordingly. I like to cycle in and out. Now longevity begins.

It is so logical. Humans have always evolved on keto and fasting. It is the natural human diet. Grains, sugar, seed oils and processed food are not. Something else: The plant based people talk about the Mediterranean diet as if it were almost plant based, just with some fish. It is not true. There is red meat (beef, sheep, goat), whole chicken with the fatty skin, porc, lard, butter, cheese, yogurt, cream, eggs in Mediterranean diets. Greetings from France!

I’m in week 13 of my keto diet (20g of carb max) and intermittent fasting (and OMD)… the diet is going well BUT I’m experiencing extreme fatigue in the gym. I have very little endurance for both aerobic as well at weight workouts. I have been searching the net to find out why and also see if other people are experiencing this issue. So far, I did not find any answers so I’m reaching out to see if anyone has similar experiences with this diet. Thank you in advance! ❤

The ketogenic diet was first developed to treat drug resistant epilepsy. And it has done that very successfully too. Based on that fact alone how on earth can anyone refer to it as "crap"? Considering also the fact that the keto diet assists in brain function perhaps the original commenter should seriously consider trying out the keto diet for themselves. On a serious note, I've got to try keto. I've been meaning to learn more about it for some time as I am epileptic which is well controlled with medication but there's just so many health benefits to keto and it's got to be better than the crap I eat at present. I've taken so many other steps to improve my health but my diet needs a serious overhaul.

Apparently having to much protein on keto over long period of time would impact longevity.

I started keto because it controlled narcolepsy. I was surprised to notice a lot of other benefits too.

Rice is the major diet for the Asian, I just reduce my food intake to 70-80% full (eat less), doing light exercises. I am now at 74 years of age but I look younger than you. People in the bluezone, they are not keto dieters. From my observation for the last 40 years, I believe keto diet make people look old whith shorter lifespan.
