Yeah, I'm going to call bullshit on this. I've been on a ketogenic diet and Intermittent fasting regimen for 4 years now and I feel better at 45 than I did at 25. Every aspect is better, my skin, my mental clarity, sleep, energy levels and over all feeling of well being is all drastically better at 45 year old than at any other time in my life. I'm a lean 155 lbs and can out run and out perform people half my age. Oh and my blood work each year since I've made this lifestyle change has been fantastic. Whoever did this study I believe, has something to sell. Keto/IF for me for. Life.

I wonder if the mice were given avocados, fish, and extra virgin olive oil (3 items that are encouraged in a keto diet) because these in particular are great for your skin, right??

Completely disagree!!! Who funded that study? Probably a company who either sells carb foods or makes a medication for medical issues that actually come from carbs. Keto with my husband for almost 5 years and have better cognition than ever and still look 10 years younger than I am!!

Keto is moderate protein, Not high protein.
Keto is high fat, moderate protein and low carbohydrate.

Another thing that I'd like to point out it's that most of the Research indicates that carbs and sugar ages of person much rapidly compared to any other ingredients. Insulin resistance is the major culprit these days due to which people gain a lot of fat.

After a while, I can see how that might be true. I did keto for years, and felt great. Lost weight. Lots of energy. Put on muscle. But.. little annoyances do creep up. I think it was from not getting enough vit C. Adding that in good amts, while making sure your D3 is up so it guards vit C and keeps it safe in your white blood cells, is a big piece of the puzzle. Do that while on keto, and I think it will be even better. 👍❤️ After all, you need C and D3 for great skin, but also need it for cell voltage, getting rid of toxins and any kind of stress or inflammation. It will also keep you from your eye sight slowly going bad. Thats something not mentioned when on keto. Its the vit C levels missing. Keeping it in the WBCs lets you recycle it rather than peeing it out. You’ll never have good C levels until you have good D levels.

The fat they feed them is bad fat not good animal fat in the mice chow. Makes the findings untrustworthy and also makes me think bad fat’s actually do what they’re saying not the presence of ketosis.
It’s good to question and look more into the study

This is so much more controversial than many would imagine... I'm following intermittent fasting and trying to go low on carbs too... Addicted to rice, as a South Indian, love Bagara rice, lemon rice, white rice with curry, and biryani... Thought i might have to give up rice all together to limit my carbs intake... Now i won't try...i think, moderation is the key.

actually i believe this. I had already noticed people advocating for keto aged quickly or appeared to. Just look at Dr Berg. he appeared to age rapidly. Also look at Jordan Peterson, he's on a carnivore diet and appears to have aged dramatically within a few years.

Dr. Janine: I appreciate you and you have increased my knowledge of the human body. A family member did not have scheduled surgery today for a bad sacral nerve. It allows for incontinence and leaky butt which is intolerable. Doctors only recommended surgery. Of course I am praying with others. Also a friend was found with cancer on the spine.

Sorry that was not a good representation of the research. You did not describe which group was the ketogenetic diet. Because two of those diets be classified as Keto. You can, based on other research you have read, recommended better than everything in moderation, since moderation leads to moderate disease.
