She implied that the forest fires last year were due to climate change. Most fires are caused by people, lightning strikes, and poor forestry management. Not all scientists agree on climate change.

We produce 548 megatonnes of co2 and that is nothing on this planet, nor for Canada (1.5% of global total). Our boreal forest is 1.3 billion acres and could easily absorb that amount if it was managed properly.
