I actually disagree with him on this take, I think the biggest most glaring difference between liberals and conservatives is that conservatives don't have girl's names.

Kind of? I would argue that conservatives go a step further and say that it is more about individuals solving their own problems but creating a governmental environment the encourages and allows that. So if you are having a hard time paying rent the solution is to lower your taxes and build an economy where, if you choose, you can go out and get the money you need.

Liberals on the other hand create departments, enact regulations/legislation. Their solution the “rent” problem discussed above is essentially the department of housing and urban development.

I disagree. Getting the government involved strains the social fabric of a society because it’s essentially saying we cannot agree to something ourselves so a parent has to come in and decide for us and naturally that is gonna leave more people unhappy than a decision made by it’s own people. And I would agree that in pretty much all cases government action either makes the problem worse or creates a whole new problem. The government is a 3rd party with absolutely no responsibility to make the right decision for the people or in other words “nobody spends somebody else’s money as carefully as they spend their own”

I lean right but I really appreciate this. The left and right both want to do good, it’s just the perspective on how to get it accomplished. I do think the feds should stay out of the way unless they absolutely have to and even then it should be with as light of touch as possible. Unfortunately there is no middle ground in today’s polarized political climate.

Funny thing is the black poverty rate was declining rapidly from the 20’s to the 60’s… then the government stepped in and said welfare state is the way to go, dismantle the family unit, be “free” while we bind you with government incentives..
