I am doing 10 k daily from 5-6 months and now my wieght is 67 kg ..it was 72 kg before with 10 k step daily mind become too relax ..got healthy sleep, and i feel more flexible

Great work!! I’m an obese man approaching 50 and I’m on day 107 of doing 10k steps. I’m also eating chicken & Broccoli three times a day. I’ve been on this journey for nearly a year and I’m down 70lb. But much more work needed. Xx

Congratulations! We are taking our boys to Disney world in June and ive lost 40 pounds in a year and now that our trip is coming up I’m getting more motivated to keep going. Good job mama! 😊

I am 70 years old. I’ve been walking 10K for 2 months and still into July ‘23. I’ve lost 17.2 lbs. in total which is 8 lbs. on average per month or 2 lbs. per week. I walk briskly. Though my BMI is in the normal range I want to get down to about 118 to 120 though I’d still be a healthy weight at 113. I am 5’4”.

I went vegan years ago but have really been fine tuning and getting rid of eating habits which have slowed down or made me gain weight. I do not generally use any oil or butter when I cook. My husband and I eat the Dr. John McDougall Starch Solution diet. When I first went vegan the weight came off fairly fast, I went down nearly 60 lbs. from 200 lbs. But then we found vegan ice cream and Planter’s nuts and during Covid, I got up to 166 lbs. I worked on the diet a bit more and only lost about 12 lbs. over 6 months without the added walking. It was discouraging.

I am feeling GREAT doing the walking. We live in a very pretty city. Great walks any direction I want to go.

Walking has other benefits for Seniors doing the 10K Steps/Day in that it gets more oxygen to the body and the brain and those who get this are far less likely to get Alzheimer’s. My dad died of this so I am doing much better than either of my parents: no diabetes type II, or heart disease, or high blood pressure, or high cholesterol, or obesity. My mother died of breast cancer and my sister did too. And my husband did have Prostate Cancer, so the vegan diet is best for keeping any cancer from returning. He did have the surgery w/out chemo or radiation. He’s got a lot more weight to lose than me but he has not done all the study on how to make the diet work as I have.

I listen to the Audible book daily when I walk of the “Starch Solution”. It isn’t boring for me as it blocks out my tinnitus and YouTube videos loser reception in some places I walk.

I was very fit when was younger. Once I get down to 130 lbs., I think I can begin to run/walk as even though my knees don’t hurt, I still want to be careful.

Glad you are making progress. I had a weight problem since I was a child. My children did not get fat but when they were out of the house, I did not take the same care of myself as I did for them.

Work out why you gained weight and how to eat as the diet which serves you best is one you can stick to the rest of your life. I like the Starch Solution as I don’t ever have to be hungry. The best gift you can give your daughter is that she does not get fat herself and that you and your husband are healthy parents to give all of you the best experience of raising your lovely little girl.

Start slowly! Your body adapts and you will be walking more each time, consistency is the key.

I just started doing something similar. I do Walk away the pounds in the morning then use my under the desk treadmill, it's great! Congrats on your progress, wishing you all the best!

You are doing so well. Bravo. I have one tip for breakfast, 2oz porridge oats half fat milk with chia, flax seeds & 4oz of mixed berries. No sugar needed you will find when this is heated up it will fill you up for hours, literally hours. So your lunch will not be huge. I too walk 10K a day & eat breakfast at 7 am & lunch usually sardines on 2 slices of toast with orange juice at 1pm. I am back in my skinny jeans. I am 5ft 3" & weigh 130 lbs.

WTG on meeting your 10k steps per day in August in preparation for Disney! Loved seeing the pics of Lila watching the fireworks. I live a couple of miles from Disneyland in California and can watch the nightly fireworks out my bedroom windows. I've been super lax about my steps lately. You've inspired me to be more serious about getting my daily steps again!

I agree. On non-workout days I’m not getting enough steps in. I’m 55 and live with Parkinson’s. So, I’m challenging myself to a hiking goal by July 2024 of 10 miles per day. I know it’s a lot, but I’m hoping the big hiking trip will be my incentive. I wish you the very best! Thanks so much for sharing your journey! It helps a lot!!

I lost almost 5kg in 29 days I reduced my meal eating fruits and exercise

1 hr exercise and 1 hr walk 10k /day

Started with 5 k walk initially now I am very happy n healthy
