I'm doing 7500-10000 steps everyday since 3 years, what I've noticed is it doesn't helped me to loose weight that much because i was not that much overweight, i was 71 kgs.but it definitely cured so many health issues of mine like digestion issues, constipation, it reduced my cholesterol level, it gave me positive energy, mindfulness.
then i went through 200 calories deficit and took 1800 cal a day, took atleast 60-65 gms of protien, started doing 20 minutes of zumba along with 7500 steps.. it worked for me and I'm 5'6 female, and now im 64 kgs within 2 months.

I walk everyday. Helps me articulate thoughts and brainstorm new ways to improve my music. Highly recommend just taking strolls without music or a podcast in

Over six months, I walked about 500 miles of steps and basically maintained my weight. I thought the weight would fall off. But the weight didn't move until I got my diet in control. Diet made the biggest change to my weight and this alone helped me lose 15 pounds when walking alone didn't budge the scale.

My BMI has always been in the average range. I am 70 and for the most part of my adult life, I have walked an average of 10, 000 steps a day. I doubled my walking time since the beginning of the pandemic. I spend anywhere between three and four hours a day walking and I love it. I don’t have any spectacular results as far as muscles and body definition go but I look like I’m still in my 50’s, I feel like I’m 30 and I am in great shape altogether.

I started walking in May. Together with a low sodium diet of about 2, 000 calories per day. In the beginning I couldn’t even walk 1 mile without being out of breath. Now, two months on, I can walk 5 to 6 miles per day and I started taking up running as well to build my endurance. And I lost 28 lbs! 🚶‍♂️🏃‍♂️💨💪 Feeling so much better and my journey to a better me is just starting!

Back in 2019 my daughter and I was on a 7-day cruise and we ate everything we wanted to eat, something we would never do at home. After the cruise was over we were either the same weight or maybe a pound or two smaller. What we did was walk every where. The ship had 17 floors and we always took the stairs, with the only exception being when we wore high heels for dinner. The only thing we didn't have with our food was juice or sodas, but everything else was game on. We're both fit and pretty thin which made climbing all those stairs doable. Man I haven't eaten like that since I was a kid. It was fun but wouldn't and couldn't eat like that every day because even if you don't gain weight it's crappy food that will cause a lot of health problems in the end 😞

I don't drive. Cycling just to work is an 18 mile / 28 km round-trip 5 days/week. Walking is great, but if you want more rapid weight loss with less of a time commitment and low impact on your joints, I suggest taking up cycling. 10k steps is 5 miles or 8 km, which takes 90 minutes on average. My 18-mile cycle takes 1 hour and provides more benefit to the cardiovascular system as well as significantly more caloric expenditure (i.e. faster weight loss, stronger muscles & healthier heart). ❤

I walked 15-20k steps a day for ~4 months when my bike got stolen and I enjoyed night walking. Didn't change much, I stayed ~200lbs the entire time (still am) I'm on the taller side though so it's a pretty normal weight for me. I will say it did help fix my sleep schedule so if you're looking to have better sleep walk more.

I can confirm that walking every day 8-10 k steps (not at once necessarily) is giving you much more energy and it improves your mental state.

I wait tables for a living and it's easy for me to exceed 15, 000 every single day because of the nature of the work. I believe it keeps you young. I have known servers in their 80's who run circles around people in their 20's.

I started biking the 5 miles to work and back. Smartest thing I ever did. It added a lot of daily exercise and took no time out of my week. I could bike it in the same time or less than it took to take the subway. I dropped a lot of weight and my blood sugar and cholesterol both went down to healthy levels. What was key for me was working that exercise into time I would have spent commuting on the train anyway.

I’m currently doing the Camino de Santiago, I’m walking 500 miles in 40 days. That’s about 23-30 thousand steps a day. Barely noticed a change.

Edit: it's been a month since, and I've realized I lost 15 pounds, didn't realize though because it was mostly muscle. They didn't have gyms and the only food I ate was bread and tuna :/

I can confidently say, that I have been doing 100 pushups a day for the entire month, haven’t missed a day, and I feel SO much better about myself. It’s not much but I have definitely improved my mental health and slowly my physical health as well.
