Are those hunger pangs or hunger irritability a precursor of GERD ? I had those experiences many years ago

I'm searching/looking for the "hunger pangs" I have because I don't think it's the usual "I want to eat because I feel hungry".
I'm wondering if something is going on in my system to make me feel this way when I'm not really hungry (could it be from stress)? My A1C is 6% from 5.9, 5.7%, pre-diabetic but had this same hunger pangs in my mid-30s (30+ yrs ago, no diabetes).

I have hunger pains since I have done endoscopy 3 days ago. The day (morning) after I woke up I feel that unusual hunger pain on empty stomach. It goes away when I eat a normal meal, but cames back when stomach becomes empty. Pain spot is between upper abdomen and under breast bone. I have normal appetite, no vomiting, no nothing else exept thiese pain. Is this something temporary?
