Microsoft: 'we recomend upgrading to windows 11'

'Hardware unsupported'

What’s hilarious is that even though Windows is a paid OS, it’s still full of ads, sponsored content and heavy tracking.
Meanwhile people criticize Chinese android phones for having ads even when they costs so less compared to the competitors and provide really good value for money. Ya’ll give way too many free passes to Microsoft. Every laptop with Windows pre-loaded costs much more than the same if there’s a Linux variant because it’s a freakin’ paid OS.

They should’ve just kept windows 10 and called what windows 11 is 10.1 or something.

Why microsoft forces us to switch windows 11 if they have a strict requirements that doesn’t support most of the old computers

I drop OS when the app support drops.

Still Windows 8.1 is habitable for my work and entertainment. Hope to upgrade Windows 10 after support ends.

I have a generation gap with my own generation. And I’m happy.

I am in the process of fully switching to Linux :)

Update: finished, I now use Linux mint with the MATE desktop environment.

Windows 11 came with a lot of native features missing; such as drag and share to another apps in Taskbar (which has been added again), non consistent and laggy action center, etc. Although things are getting better with updates, a few aspects are very inconsistent. The start was a completely different app since Windows 10 fall update but now in Windows 11 Start is a different app, the taskbar is a UWP revamp of the Windows 10 taskbar which makes it less responsive in many scenarios. The task manager has been updated to the Mica design but is now very laggy to use compared to the Windows 8 styled task manager. File explorer has been given a lot of great updates, but again it lags and is less responsive; not to forget the new search bar.
Windows 10 was a whole - actually developed version which became stable over the years. Windows 11 is the neatest OS right now, but with rumors of Windows 12, it might not see a mighty development to perfection.

Finally, acknowledged Windows' privacy issues.

I have a fix list for windows 11.

1. Remove bloatware.
2. Decrease ram usage.
3. Remove TPM requirement.
4. Give an option to make windows 11 look like windows 10.

If windows actually did these changes, most windows 10 users would change over.

You better believe Windows ten is not leaving my computer until October 14, 2025

Non of them. I switched to Linux 3 years ago, because Windows 10 has become way too bloated and worst of all, it doesn't respect my choice. I'm a human and I wanna be in full control over my computer, it should not take ANY decision.
