It is not common to have blood in urine during pregnancy but whenever we see blood in urine, it is either due to infection or kidney stone. If it is urinary infection, it can affect pregnancy in adverse ways, that means sometimes it can cause spontaneous abortions. If it is due to stone in kidneys then it can lead to miscarriages. But many times it happens that when there is blood in urine it is mistaken that either the blood is either from the urinary tract or from the vagina. So whenever the patient complaints that blood is there in urine, then we have to explain to them whether the blood has come from urine or from the vaginal passage because if blood is from the vaginal passage then it is a clear cut indication of impending miscarriage.
