MicroNugget: How to Create a System Center Private Cloud

In this video, Greg Shields covers how to create a System Center private cloud with Hyper-V and VMM 2012. Although this used to be out of the reach of the vast majority of people, VMM 2012 makes executing powerful functions as simple as clicking a button. Greg will outline what you need to do to get started in this process.

Cloud computing used to be an ethereal, mysterious reality that few people had experience with. These days, however, building your own private cloud is something that’s gone from marketing terminology to actual buttons you can click in an interface.

VMM 2012 added a button in the upper right-hand corner of the screen that says “Create Cloud”, and although there’s quite a bit you have to do before you can click that button, it’s definitely within the capability of the average IT pro. Greg will walk through some of the foundational steps you need to execute, then demonstrate how simple it is to configure your very own private cloud.
