I have this exact set and my concern isn’t with rupturing my ear drum because theres a camera and you can see how far back you’re going, you can see your ear drum and know when to stop.

However definitely clean with alchohol before every use because sticking anything into your ear can introduce bacteria and be careful not to scrape to hard when removing wax because from personal experience I was using these tools and didn’t realize I was scraping too hard and was removing layers of skin because the skin inside your ear is VERY SENEITIVE. And because of this I got an ear infection and my ear hurts so bad, it hurts my jaw to chew and I woke up with my ear canal almost swollen shut. Prior to getting these tools I used regular cotton swabs and hadn’t had an ear infection since I was 2 years old. Use caution is all I’m saying

I use the camera one on myself and my boyfriend. When we started dating he had a huge thing of wax stuck in his ear. He thought he was losing his hearing but once I got it out he could hear normally again.

I know cotton sticks arent good but in my personal experience i been using them to clear ears for almost 30 years. I just use technique where i dont press on walls of the ear tunel unil its time to pull out. Also couple times a year i use wax liquid remover.

For me the liquid ear wax removals give me ear infections, my ear wax is more liquid than solid so I use a q-tip to soak it up there isn’t much pressure needed and I stick close to my ear walls

And this is why ENT say Don't stick anything smaller than your elbow in your ear or up your nose.

I use q-tips very carefully every day in my ears. If I don't then I get a migraine. So damned if I do and damned if I dont.
