Certainly not a “boring” vlog. Thanks, Brian.

Can't wait to see what you do with that bad boy. So many features, it will be interesting to see which ones become your go-to's

I dream of playing with your drill press, but I really don't think I'm smart enough to make it really work. Honestly, I do like the way it figures out the speed you need to drill the hole you are making. This thing is on my "when I win the lottery" list, right behind a '68 Camaro and a few other cars.... well and a big barn to keep them in. Still that was fun to watch.

Very impressive machine. But after over 30 yrs woodworking with simple tools. It's still how I prefer working. Its a nice and impressive machine. But I prefer my old simple drill press that does all I need very well. But it's nice of course. Nice video

Nice - I have the poor man's version, the Bosch PBD 40.

It lacks most of the Voyager's features, but has similar variable speed - do I miss having to change pulleys to change speed? What do you think?

I didn't buy the Voyager because:

1) I don't have the space.
2) My "shop" is a garage where *everything* rusts at the drop of a hat, so the PBD 40's aluminium table is a bonus.
3) I didn't want a tilting table as I sometimes use a cast iron compound table for metal work, and it meant my old drill's titling table would tilt when I didn't want it to tilt!
4) It's way too expensive for my budget, but the final point is:
5) It's just not available in the UK (or it wasn't when I looked a year or so ago.)

Doesn't stop me drooling over yours...

Probably still cheaper than a Powermatic but a lot more smarter! Nice toy Brian! Love it! Congratulations my friend!

Hi Thanks for your video. I had never seen the likes of this. One big question I have as you covered this machine very well! Does the speed settings cover different materials such as general metal boring applications? I see with the bits it doesn't cover sanding spindles ir wire brushes wich I don't do since the very early days of pressing my drill press into situations it wasn't design for, but drilling into metal would seem to have some preset speeds for convievence from the factory IMO. Thanks and sorry if this was covered and I missed it being addressed. Like your shop and presentation Brian. Nice work.

Thanks for the nice review. Can the machine be used for light milling of wood? It seems adding a machinists' x-y vice would add a great deal of functionality, if the bearing could deal with light/moderate side loads?

My menu doesn’t look anything like the one shown. When he used the drill bit to drill 3/4” deep, he went too slow. That’s a good way to burn the wood and overheat your drill bit. It’s a very good machine but the chuck that comes with it is not so good. It also goes up to 3000 rpm and 5000 rpm with a little configuration which is useful for small drill bits and drilling in aluminum.

Dogg, man, that Nova is like working on the space shuttle. Who uses a drill press in their home shop enough to justify the cost of the Nova? Anyway, it's beautiful, but I'd have to drill a hole in my own head to prove I needed this machine. Not many push-ups today. Come on, Dogg, we'll be getting flabby without your help. Hey, would you sponsor our shop, we could use the your help. You could just send us the tools you no longer use.

Yah got to have one, who did you order from?

Great Drill press! However, I don't like the old fashion LCD screen The cost difference to putting in a modern Color screen is small.

Does the manufacturer have accessories like dust collection?

That seems like a lot of gremlins to account for just to drill a hole The tapping sounds like a nice feature and accounts for reverse but how long do you have to fiddle with it to get that working right? I bet it’s all dirt cheap too.

Great video but before I committed my time to watching I looked up the price of this drill press. I am guessing it is gold plated????

Nice haircut!
This is one of the least used tools in my shop. Would have to have a pro production shop to justify the expense.
Looks great, Just too high for me.

Slick drill press but I would have to drill a hell of t lot of holes to justify the price.
