Great videos! As somebody who is setting up a shop I find the information on all the little attachments and fittings very useful.

Hi Andy, I bought a Nova Voyager back in the summer. I am so pleased with it, there’s nothing else quite like it.
I wasn’t over impressed with the supplied chuck and arbor, so upgraded to an Albrecht chuck. Now it’s perfect.
They are expensive but, what a machine!
Hope yours serves you well, which I’m sure it will 👍🏻

Sorry I missed you in Worcester though it was really good to meet your wife. Your ‘display’ table looked simply amazing in real life.

Hi Andy, great video and I'm looking forward to seeing your video on the Ruwi gear because I still haven't committed to a Drill Press Table yet for my Nova Voyager (see my exchange with you on your previous video). By the way, I too refer to it as a drill press or pillar drill. I know the metal workers get precious about using the term but as I pointed out when you first received that comment, the dictionary definition supports woodworkers calling a floor standing pillar drill a "drill press" - it is correct common parlance. By the way, you are correct, mounting the head onto the pillar is impossible unaided. I didn't have the benefit of a strong pair of extra hands like you, so I mounted the head with the drill stand horizontal and then used straps and chain hoists hung from the roof frame of my shed workshop. My wife help with steadying it as it rose and you have to be alert when it moves over centre to ensure it does fall the other way (on top of you). If you are careful, it can be done! I've played with the common features and they are great. I'll be interested to hear your experience of the Advanced Features. I'll also have a look at the construction of the table tilt, because it might be possible to adapt the tilt mechanism to make it zero to 90 degrees. But like you I think the variable speed direct drive, build quality and other features far outweigh not being able to tilt the table beyond 45 degrees.

Just installed the nova keyless chuck on mine.. guys if your looking for a drill press, buy the nova it’s a no brainer.. looked at powermatic delta and others.. this thing is a beast..

Looks like a cracking piece of kit. Not entirely sold on the menu system. I feel like 99% of your time, you're going to know what speed you need it to be, so having more function keys (more than 4) set to common drilling speeds would be much more convinient than going through the menu each time.

So glad you got this, Andy! I just bought one as well! Did yours come with that acrylic guard around the quill? I ask because the US does NOT come with that! I love that digital depth stop! Have you tried having it reverse the bit out of the hole? I currently have mine set like yours where it just stops.

Woah man, that is a beast!👍🏽
Fits in well with the rest of your beastly tools. 😉
Is there anything that drill doesn't do? Awesome features.
I've just got a standard drill press, and those 3 pronged handle turns drive me bonkers, so I removed 2.
much better with just the one. 👌🏽

Hi. Looks like a great drill. I have a safety question on the automatic stop start. Is it possible to lower the Chuck without the handle i.e. by holding the chuck and pulling it downwards? Hope I explained that correctly. Imagine changing drill bits and for whatever reason you manage to pull the chuck downwards and it automatically starts. Is this a possibility? Cheers. 👍🏼

I really want to buy this drill vs the Powermatic, but there's one feature holding me back. You touched briefly on the tilting of the table. Specs show that this one only tilts 45 degrees, where as the Powermatic goes the full 90. Its not often that I need to drill top down into end grain, but you mentioned chair legs where its handy to have the capability. Maybe I'm missing something, but the 45 degree tilt seems limiting. Do you have or plan a work-around?

Andy, how is this machine fairing since you first got it. Any problems or issues and are you still as pleased as when you bought it? Thinking of buying one. I see there are a few more dealers selling these in the UK now. Are you aware if the manufacturer now has a network in place for maintenance, spares and warranty claims etc? Thanks for the helpful video 👍

if it doesnt have a drawbar that side load on that sanding drum is going to cause chuck and all to come out of the machine. sooner or later.

I'm having to use all my will power not to buy one of these. They look really slick.
