I interviewed for a higher paying position from another department yesterday. The interviewers were supervisors from a different dept that none of us employees had ever met. I was told we would know the outcome of the interview in about 1 week. It is for 1 position.
Today I heard a supervisor in our dept(not the sups that did the interviews) loudly ask another coworker “how did your interview go yesterday?” This supervisor then proceeded to say to my coworker “I have a feeling you got selected for it.” This supervisor didn’t notice I was about to pass by the office nearby. The sup then sort of quietly said oops and she then look startled that I heard. There are 6 other people who also interviewed yesterday from our department. While it’s possible the sup already received info about this employee being the one to get the job offer, the sup also gave away that this employee is a favorite.

I had to go to HR about my manager playing favorites a few employees including myself were being bullied and she did not take it serious and downplayed it because it was the people that she favored doing the bullying. Well she got talked to and did not what her manager had to say about it.

When I search favoritism in the workplace, youtube recommended this video to me. It is kind of funny and bittersweet for me because I tried to look for some advices on how I should deal with boss's favoritism and obviously the favorite staff is not me. While I listened the whole video talking about what boss' favorite person would do and how can they recognized that they are the superstar in the workplace. Hope someday I can utilize these knowledge in my career.

i went thru hell at my work place and cried many tears i was so stressed out because i was always getting pick on by my boss and the fact that he has his pets and they did not like me from the moment i walked in and ask for a application for work they did not greet me nor did she even say a word to me just gave me the application and walked away and when i took my application back the same rude youngster took my information wrong so when the owner tried to get a hold of me he could not luckly i called him . anyways its was a nightmare for me worst place i ever worked at

When it was my 1 year work anniversary my boss basically didn't give me anything and they gave it to my co worker when was hers. Same person got to go on a company trip in the US (I live in Canada) and they live in the states
