The thing I wish I knew about gentle cleansers is they don't remove makeup. Double cleansing really helps!

you guys seem to be ignoring that she this entire video said that this is what SHE would do, lmao. she even said "some people will skip this step, but i still use toner". this is her routine.

I like these products. For those thinking this is too much: cleanser, moisturizer and spf are all you need. You can add in whatver you like in between.

Over the years I realised less is more. All I use now is facial wash, toner and moisturiser. Knowing your skin type really helps too, I have combination skin. Before buying my products now I read or watch a lot of different reviews cause everyone is different. I've stuck with Japanese/Korean facial products these past few years they work best on my Asian skin.

exact routine and what I have to say is....
1. The LRP cleanser is waaaay more gentle than the neutropenia one
2. The avene serum BURNED my skin off
3. Didn’t really feel like the toner did anything as my skin was so inflamed so I just replaced it with sea buckthorn oil/ jojoba oil and that helped A LOT more (I would mix it in my moisturiser or apply it right after
5. The toleriane moisturiser is v nice but don’t use it if you are prone to hotness it feels like having a full face of foundation m
6. Finally and biggest différente is apply Vaseline AFTER cucaplast i swear this made the biggest difference in calming down my skin and making it super Dewey and hydrated that it actually reduces my pore size

Paulas choice is the most perfect brand for a damaged skin barrier. They specifically concentrate on hydration and ceramides to strengthen the skin and anti aging. They are mlddle of the road (more than $20 but under $45)priced but you get what you pay for with them. My skin barrier was fixed almost overnight and i stopped breaking out when I statted using them because they keep their ingredients simple.

If you have a problem with a curtain area on your face I‘d recommend to go to a dermatologist. I got a recipe for a cream that gets mixed at the pharmacy with the exact ingredients I need for my problem (the making costs me 5€). This saves you a lot of time and money, the dermatologist will also tell you what type of skin you have and if the products you use are any helpful.

The first thing to do is using a minimal amount of products
Your skin does not need 15 step skin care routine and it is bad for your damaged barrier

i wouldn’t recommend neutrogena for skincare neutrogena is very high in fragrance and propylparaben which isn’t the best for people prone to allergies and sensitive skin.

i wanna say, you can use rose water as a natural toner. You can make it at home for free! i mix it with some moisturizer

All the products on this list will break me out just based on the ingredients alone. The one product from this list I can use and actually own is the aveeno serum. That's why a lot of these lists sound and look great but may not work for everyone. People should take time to figure out their skin first and then form a simple routine.

To heal my skin I had to get rid of every product I was putting on my face, I even changed my detergent so I could start figuring out what was irritating my skin. I started from scratch and slowly started using products and seeing how my skin was reacting to them. Best thing I ever did. Now I'm down to using 3 products: a cleanser, moisturizer and an acne cream if I need it.

Ulta is very overpriced on a lot of the cleansing products. Most I spend is 30.00 and my skin has been clear for a long while.

Little tip, Neutrogena’s parent company is Johnson And Johnson, a company that has been sued multiple times for causing cancer. Wouldn’t recommend.

nah .. to repair skin barrier all you need is a gentle cleanser, moisturizer and spf. THAT IS IT.

When my skin barrier is damaged I put as little on it as possible. I avoid wearing makeup and use a gentle cleanser, moisturizer and spf. Sometimes my skin gets sensitive to spf too so I’ll have to skip that and avoid the sun

Let me enlighten you if you have a limited budget and time and you will be surprised with the results of the following routine (remove the retinol if you have a damaged skin barrier and just)

All you need is three things and only three thing (edit: four including sunscreen lol)
-Retinol such as differin (so good and not that expensive+ read about it+ do not use it if your skin barrier is damaged) if you have dry skin I would recommend using moisturizer with retinol ingredients instead
-good gentle cleanser
-moisturizer with no fragrance
-sunscreen of your choice (it’s important don’t skip it)

^ I listed the things randomly so please don’t follow the same order

Thank me later

I'm unclear what you mean by a damaged skin barrier. Too dry? Acne flair? Irritation from an allergen or something else? All these things require different treatments.

I have dry skin and if it's feeling irritated it's usually from excessive dryness. If that's the case, I go in with a cleanser (doesn't really matter which one as long as it's gentle). I love a toner/essence and prefer one that's super hydrating if I'm irritated like CosRx Snail 96 or the Pyungkang Yul essence. Or both. I like something with cica/centella and hyaluronic acid, which I apply when the toner is still wet. I am a CosRx fangirl and like the Hydrium Cica serum. And I wrap it up with CosRx Snail 92 cream or some good ol' CeraVe moisturizer. And right before I go to sleep, I apply a thin layer of the CeraVe Healing Ointment to seal in the moisture since my house tends to be dry this time of year.

100 bucks. Yikes.

The problem with skincare is this:

1) you don’t know which products will work for YOU since it’s so individual
2) trying skincare products means wasting literally hundreds of dollars since some products will simply make your skin worse than better…

Idk how ppl do it.
