So true, take good care of what you already have spent money on, and get your money's worth and then some.

Me too, no replacing until the very end of use, like phones, paid off car (22 years old), appliances.... Saved me tons of money plus help the earth's precious resources.

That's exactly what I do. Unfortunately my husband & our 20 yr old don't agree. It's a battle trying to get them to understand. For example my husband's truck had to have AC repair done it cost $1, 300+. Right away he started w/he needs to buy a new truck. I had to practically beg him that since I'm unemployed bc of health issues & not able to work & we're making payments on a car right now that it's not a good idea to have 2 vehicle pmts. at the same time. He was angry & I felt alone. Once he purchased a brand new truck simply because the truck he had had to have 2 repairs & they were not over $1, 000. I told him I need to get medical tests done which of course requires money, deductibles, co-pays, specialists, etc. I feel bad because he constantly wants a new truck, even before it was paid off & didn't need any repairs. I pray things get better. I hate being in unnecessary debt just so he can keep up w/neighbors who constantly buy new trucks & ask him when he'll buy new truck. I think we need counseling.
