Don't forget to rotate and regularly take inventory!

Absolutely! Very important to focus on water and food security. Buying now, assuming prices always rise, is a way to stay ahead of inflation a bit.

Some folks say it’s “hoarding.” I just don’t trust Walmart to be my pantry 🤣

As long as you have space for it. Don’t let it take over.

I've had people make fun of my food/ household supplies but i stand by it. When friend and family were battling it out in the supermarket with the masses during covid and unable to get what they needed, I was at home chilling 😊

It is alway good to have some reserves as I may feel bad or the weather may be not good for a trip.

Stored food is great for when chef mom gets sick. Having some canned soups, veggies, freezer entrées are great when you’re in a pinch and don’t have the energy to cook a fresh meal.

I live alone and I still have a prepping pantry, full freezer . I think you have ti, as prices will not be lower any time soon.

I buy in bulk for the fact that it saves me money. I certainly dont buy everything in bulk but i started a year ago and it is now to where i am able to buy less and less at the grocery store on a weekly basis. I buy produce in bulk now and can it or i freeze it.

Get brown rice, white rice, lentils, etc.

That stuff lasts forever!

General smart preparedness is intelligent but not overboard. Water dry food first aid flint or dry matches basics. If the unthinkable happened evrrything you piled up with be dust. Be smart.

I used to my mum called it her shopping centre but now I don’t have a spot for it unless I put it outside somewhere

I can agree, but coming from a Mormon fundamentalist family that was psycho about the apocalypse and prepping, just don’t take it too far. Get prepared to a reasonable level, and then live your life for today. Not for the “what ifs”
