Do these Marine (Solder Seal) Connectors WORK? Tested on my BMW...

Today, we're fixing the rain sensor on my 2005 BMW Wagon using these "marine grade" solder seal connectors that I found on Amazon! These are supposed to simplify the soldering process, so you can make wiring repairs easily. I'm a fan of them after testing them out, and will continue to use them for quick repairs.

These are handy for situations where using a soldering iron is inconvenient, but they are tempermental to work with and don't always penetrate all the way through. It helps to dip the wires in flux. The quality also varies. With some, the adhesive melts before the solder. If you twist the wires together tightly, The solder ring will hold them together tight enough to make a reliable connection, even if it doesn't fully pentrate.😢
