Don't forget to eat big to get big. For a while, I wasn't eating big enough. Once I started eating big, I started growing faster. So eat more meats and some carbs like rice and potatoes and fruits and vegetables. Eat more.

Nope. Common misconception that you have actual tears in your muscle fibre. If this was the case, you’d be in constant pain for weeks as your muscle attempts to repair itself.

The real answer, is by looking at a cellular level, the myosin and actin (the protein inside your muscle cells) “break down” from the extreme stress put on them. This, in turn, forces our body to increase the amount of myosin and actin within the sarcomere, expanding the muscle fibre hence making it larger and stronger.

The pain experienced as well is not from the breaking down/building of myosin and actin, but from lactic acid.

completely misleading. micro tears do not cause muscle growth. in fact, they're a hindrance to it-the only hypertrophy driver as we know, is mechanical tension. we lift heavy in the gym (RPE 8-10) to stimulate hypertrophy. When we create damage, our body needs time to HEAL before it could think of growing those muscles.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think more recent studies have come out suggesting that this is actually not what happens. Your muscles do break down slightly but that isn’t the main contributor to hypertrophy.
