After years of disordered eating and orthorexia, I realized life is too short to stress about a cookie and to just eat it. Calorie restriction for long periods of time with no flexibility can often times lead to binging and further disordered eating. Our bodies cannot be healthy if our minds aren’t.

It’s completely ok to have regular cookies. Healthy eating is a balance of all four food groups and things you crave and enjoy.

Personal opinion: for my sweet cravings I always have a whole container pre-made dates, oats and nuts/ almonds/ walnuts balls aka ladoos. One is filling enough and stops my cravings instantly. It's hardly much calories. Just make small balls. It tastes bomb and u don't even have to go through the trouble of baking just blend it abit keep the texture and make balls. Have a Blessed Day 💗

I recommend using coconut, chickpea or almond flour they are good to get more nutrients in. Also pure cacao powder is good for chocolate desserts and won't add many calories.

Coconut oil is also good since it's lower calorie than regular oil.

Allulose is a great sweetner and can be used as a powdered sugar replacement, stevia and monk fruit are also really good.

When baking cakes you can use more egg whites to make them fluffier instead of using the whole egg (it saves calories without sacrificing protein)

For toppings you can't go wrong with some nuts for nutrients and healthy fats, also dark chocolate tastes good with cookies and in the right amount won't add many calories.

As stated previously, don't stress so much about eating a couple of cookies. You work out, so have a cookie once in a while. There needs to be balance in each area of life.

usually whenever i crave sweets i drink honey water (btw i cut out sugary foods from my diet so im craving sweets alot) and im pretty sure honey water is extremely low in calories and doesn't taste bad and its sweet

Even on calorie deficit, I give myself one day in the week to eat what I want. (Granted not binge) but it provided the balance I needed and I lost weight without experiencing intense cravings

My favorite low cal baking hack is sugar free brownie mix and swap the oil for nonfat yogurt and eggs for egg whites

Something that mama will make every once and a while are these peanut butter oat bars, basically vanilla extract, smooth peanut butter, oats, salt, and whatever else you wanna add, they are hella good

I think it would work to bake a normal cookie for the same calories so enjoy it in moderation instead of take a cookie that is not making you satisfied.💖

I just drink low suger seltzer/sodas. The ones I drink have 4-5 grams of suger, and 25 calories.
