I thought it was a sphere you subdivided, but it didn't look right. Then I noticed it was a cube you started with.

The topper was missing seeds. So I realized that it was a subdivided Cube at the commencement.

Shouldn't we use Displace modifier to deform the final shape of the strawberry in an imperfect way while still be able to keep the original shape of the strawberry in case of further duplication?

If u want to Invert ur selection use crtl + i

After going to un subdivide and putting interations to 1 in the decimate modifier, I went into the edit mode but the vertices are normal and not diagonal. Why?

if the faces are not extruding out right
you have to hold down click
extrude by normals on the tools
