I remember when I used cardboard as a shin guard for one of my soccer games 😂

When I forgot my shin pad at home and the ref said no shin guard no game. I just pull out the insole from my sneaker and use it as a shin guard. The ref don't know the difference lol

Lightweight, compact with super absorbent impact materials like carbon fiber, and a soft inner layer for comfort against you shin so it's not too abrasive against a tackle, also easy to put on and take off without having to mess around taking both your socks off.

I wear the C6 Agility Speed Max Coverage edition. They're stupidly light, incredibly sleek looking and keep my shins free of any bruises or marks. Keep up the great work guys! ⚽️👏🏼

For the best shin pad I would use super light weight materials and would be very protective. They would have a small bit of padding at the ankles. The shin pads would have some carbon fibre elements on the front to keep them light. On the back they would have small air pods for comfort ( similar to the Nike hypervenom 3) this shin pad would be the most comfy and protective on the market

I just want the thinnest, most low profile shin guard possible. I hate having the feeling of something sticking out from my leg and it really irritates me. I'd love something that forms to my shin and stays really low, so you could barely notice it's there.

You guys should take a look at the storelli products. I have used their leg sleeves for years and they are great because they compress slip in shin-pads tightly to your leg, they also provide extra protection around your ankle and leg. You should get them in your store, half the price of the nike sleeves and provides great protection without feeling bulky😀

Everyone is saying that super light and super protective shin pads are the best but just because the shin pads are light, it doesn't mean that they are comefortable and the best shin pad must be comfortable. My ultimate shin pad would be made of some sort of foam like the retro select that is comfortable and still does the job of protecting you. It would also have velcro straps and a strip of Velcro on the outside of the pad to stick to your sock, to keep it in place so that it doesn't go out if place when you make a challenge. Great video Jay, it was quite helpful as this problem bugged me for quite a while now and you've cleared everything up.

For the MOST AWESOME SHIN GUARD IN THE WORLD!!! I would want to have the g-form like share but carbon fiber on the outside and some foam protection on the back part too, but no heavy foam, these would be lighter than most and in the front the shaping like the Nike j guard cause I personally love these and they're so cheap.

Currently, I'm using the Nike Mercurial lite shin guards. As you said, they are a decently priced product that provides average support for mostly any footballer. But it does not have that custom feel that I'm looking for in a shin guard.
With that being said, my idea for the most awesome shin pad in the world would have an initial molding period. Almost similar to the process of molding a mouth guard. By applying very light heat to loosen it, then wrapping it to your shin and have compression for about an hour to specifically contour to your legs and jave them hug every curve, vein, and scar on your shins. This will be the key to maximum comfort and little to no irritation or sliding around.
The pads would come with light compression sleeve with a pocket on the front to have the pads slip right in. This extra pocket will help maintain great hygiene for the player and longevity of the product. (extra length ankle protection with the sleeve option).
The pad would be made out of compressed and layered visceolastic foam that hardens after the initial molding period. It will feel soft to the touch on the players shin but harden like a rock on the outside to handle the likes of any tackles, abrasions, and natural contact that comes with the occupation of the sport we all love.

Most awesome shin pad in the world: I would take the concept of the g-form shin guards but instead on having straight up foam I would replace the foam with a thinner, more dense poron and add a pure carbon fiber plate with no fillers to the top layer. The plate would be a 3 piece with the separations being vertical slits on either side of the shin bone to allow it to shape around your leg while still providing the solid protection in the danger areas. Then I would add an extra layer of poron to the lateral side of the leg for a little bit of extra protection against kicks to the side of the leg.

Hope that makes sense :P

A super lightweight shin pad with carbon fibre on the outside and super light plushy foam which is very thin on the inside which would combine to make a balanced shin pad

I would but a layer of gel between the soft and hard layer so the impact is perfectly absorbed.NASA does that too.
