Is God an Arbitrary Tyrant?
The answer, according to popular Christian doctrine is, Yes. It is not surprising that so many thinking and feeling people have turned away from Christianity. The horrific combination of predestination and eternal torment has driven many people straight in to atheism.

And that's the gospel. Thanks Ty. Salvation is for All not a select group or people.

Now that I think about it, no wonder it's so highly important to truly love and have a daily personal relationship with God through Christ by faith, because children actually base their view and relationship with God on how their parents treated them, even though the child may not even be aware of this at such a young impressionable age

It's really low and parasitic how there are "ministers" out there who knowingly twist God's Word in order to keep and bring more people into their apostate churches; then there is the prosperity gospel, better known as "name and claim" gospel. Jesus always told the entire truth, but in love and consideration. He never twisted nor diluted it. Pastor Ty, praise God in heaven that His grace has given you the love, wisdom and courage to teach and explain His truth so very clearly. I still have your "God's Extravagant Love" dvd series you did at 3abn not many years ago, and "Sonship of Christ" and "The Heavenly Trio".

This is one of the best lessons to understand one of the most destructive doctrines of demons that is taught from the majority of protestant pulpits for 500+ years! Good work Ty. You are a very good teacher of the word of God. I am a Protestant — and I pray for the day when all just Protestants understood how destructive Calvins theology has been since the reformation started.

Listening to the Calvanisum belief system was like hearing nails on a chalkboard to my soul.

He must have somehow totally missed everyone favorite Bible verse, "For God SO loved the WORLD..." that would be everybody and not a select few.

If God were arbitrary and tyranical, then He would not have willingly gave up all of Himself and Jesus to save us; He wouldn't have given us the 10 Commandments nor His holy 7th day Sabbath; He wouldn't have explained, revealed, the outcome of bad as well as good choices. Many people won't read their bibles to know God, but yet they seem to supposedly know Him so much to the point of making Him out to be a monster.
Pastor Ty, thank you for all these presentations and choosing to be faithful to God.

One of many prime examples is when God sent the plagues upon Egypt. Many people will look at this on the surface and make false accusations such as "God plagued those people because He couldn't have His own way". I can fully understand this type of thinking because I grew up seeing God in the wrong light and believed He hated me; i was ALWAYS doing everything I knew NOT to do, and i was raised in the SDA church. NOT chargeable to God's church. The issue was my thinking, my attitude, my dirty deeds. I'm 40 now. BUT THE REASON God plagued the Egyptians was because they worshipped false gods and even some of the Israelites were doing it as well. EACH PLAGUE was specifically targeted at the corresponding false god in order to show the people their false gods have no power to save them. God simply was trying to wake them up, and to even get Pharoah's attention. But Pharoah kept on resisting God, and in doing so, caused calamity and death upon his people and himself.

Orthodox Christianity saved me form the end of the line for Western Theology: Theo-deterministic Nihilism.

The proper name for John Calvin’s book is “The Institute’s of The Calvin Religion.” For that is what it is. Another gospel, or false gospel.

It's not just Calvin. Luther considered "Bondage of the Will" to be the best thing he ever wrote at the end of his life. Intellectually and doctrinally consistent Protestantism that includes "Once Saved Alway Saved" leads to Nihilism.

Calvin, if it were God's will that we suffer and die, then explain why He gave us His commandments, 7th day Sabbath, warnings of mercy, encouragement to do good and choose blessing and not curses, and prophecy to let us know ahead of time so we can get ready? Most of all, if it were God's will that we suffer and die THEN GOD WOULD NOT HAVE GIVEN US JESUS, HIS OWN ONLY SON, TO SUFFER AND PAY OUR UNPAYABLE DEBT; If God enjoyed suffering then hell would be eternal, and if eternal, then God would be a liar because He says in His Word that the last enemy to be destroyed is death, and that there will be no pain, crying, death, sorrow nor anything sinful in heaven and in this earth He will make brand new.

Symptoms of Narcissistic Personality (NPD) as discussed by the DSM-5 (by definition, all I need is 5 out these 9 criteria for a diagnosis of a narcissist, but as you see, the Bible god Yahweh, fits ALL 9 of these criteria):

1. A grandiose sense of self-importance, i.e. exaggerates talents and expects to be recognized as superior without commensurate achievements. (Job 38:4 & 31-35, Psalm 19:1, Isaiah 42:8, Jeremiah 32:17 & Romans 1:18-20)

2. Preoccupation with fantasies of ideal love, success, knowledge, power, and beauty. (Isaiah 45:23, 52:12-15 & 53:1-12, Jeremiah 3:17, Romans 14:11 & Philippians 2:10)

3. Belief that he or she is so "special" and "unique" and can only be understood by other high-status or quality people or institutions. (Leviticus 11:44, 1 Samuel 2:2, Isaiah 55:8, Habakkuk 1:13 & 1 Corinthians 2:14)

4. Is inter-personally exploitative, i.e. takes advantage of others to achieve his or her own ends. (Exodus 7:3 & 13-14, 10:27, 11:10, 14:4 & 20:5, Deuteronomy 5:6 & 7:2)

5. Has a sense of entitlement. (Leviticus 9:18, 1 Corinthians 10:31 & Revelation 4:11)

6. Requires excessive admiration. (Exodus 25-31)

7. A lack of empathy or an unwillingness to identify with feelings and needs of others. (Numbers 11:1-3, 4-35, 16:49 & 21:4-9, Luke 9:61-62)

8. Envy of others (Exodus 20:5 & 34:14, Deuteronomy 4:24, 5:9 & 6:15, Joshua 24:19, Isaiah 42:8)

9. Arrogant, haughty behaviors or attitudes (I would give scriptural examples of this, but for the sake of brevity, I suggest the reader of this comment simply READ the Bible, because it’s all there.)
