What If Dooku Became Grand Master of the Jedi Order

Master Dooku had a great many issues with the Jedi High Council, so What If Dooku Became Grand Master? How would Dooku achieve such a status within the order? Would he challenge Yoda or would he ascend naturally? Would Dooku thrive in the role or would he learn that the Council operated the way it did for a reason?

I think people saying you can't do certain 'What Ifs' if someone has already done them is dumb. As long as you bring something original to the 'What If' and not copying someone, then I don't see a problem.

"YOU STOLE MY IDEA!" ...What? I follow quite a bit of Star Wars What If channels and all of them have similar stories to one another! Even those with the same premise, like for example: "What if Fives survived?" Every single channel I follow have this premise, but each one was different because each person had their own take. Every Star Wars What If channel is guilty for "stealing" his idea according to his "logic."

Poor Dooku! He saved the Jedi from a worse fate. He got a raw deal. Though, you're right, just breaking away form the Republic would likely result in the Republic leaving the order high and dry.

Damn. It's a real shame how short-lived and catastrophic Dooku's tenure as a grandmaster was. I know that he was desperate for change in the Order and the Republic, but I don't personally think that he would've been as rash and reckless to abandon the Coruscant Temple and go to war with the Hutts back to back. Would have loved to see him succeed at least a little bit, at least in how he influenced the Jedi in how they conducted themselves and to be more active in helping out the previously overlooked planets.

I am admittedly a little biased as Dooku is probably my favourite character in Star Wars. At least the silver lining was that Order 66 was avoided and the Jedi would be focusing more on the Force than bureaucracy going forward.

Pity the Trade Federation couldn't approach Dooku directly. "We have a droid army, and extensive experience in planetary administration. We would be willing to assist your efforts. In return for, say, a 100 year trade deal. A small price to pay, I'm sure you would agree."
In fact that might be a fun story promot: Make the Trade Federation the heroes. Somehow. :P

This was amazing. I’ve been a fan of your videos for a while and it’s always fun to see your interesting SW what if’s. It was also fun to see Dooku becoming Grand Master of the Jedi Order getting shown some love. This is definitely an interesting scenario and it should definitely get shown some more love. Plus I think we can all agree that this is probably one of the most interesting/unique scenarios in SW…but it’s a welcome one. Also if Dooku did become Grand Master…then it would definitely be an interesting opportunity to show another side of his character and make him even more interesting. It was also nice to see Dooku impact this pivotal moment getting shown some love, since he usually never gets the chance to do crazy stunts like this (no more than usual) and it was a nice change of pace to see him take the initiative and definitely made us all impressed. Plus it was nice to see Dooku forging a new path…afterall it was nice to see him have that determined spirit to accomplish his goals and potential, afterall this was probably the most brilliantly planned situations for him, so it was nice to see him show this level of fierce determination to succeed in his goals, since he knows how that there’s still opportunity and hope in the galaxy. Also it’s always nice to see just how strong and cunning Dooku truly is. It was also nice to see him place the Jedi on a true path to serving the people…plus this is definitely something he’d do. I also think it would be cool if he became Grand Master. It was also cool that you showed more of Dooku’s cunning capabilities and prowess in battle. I also loved the fact that you included Dooku as the main focus in this ‘what if’ story, he’s one of my favourite SW characters ever and it was nice to see you include him in this amazing ‘what if’ story and have show the galaxy that he should never be underestimated…and it was fun to see being so cunning; he’s just that amazing. Great job as always and I can’t wait to see what you do next.

I do have a few ideas for some possible what if’s:

1) What if Rey was a Mandalorian…essentially what if Din Djarin found Rey and took her in as a Foundling.

2) What if Ezra was a Mandalorian…something like how both his parents were Mandalorians who left Mandalore and went to start their own lives (you could still keep most of Ezra’s backstory) and potentially make Ezra and Sabine a couple (since Disney won’t, we have too…#ezrabine4ever.

3) What if Jango Fett and/or Boba Fett Joined the Republic…I think something interesting could happen with this.

4) What if Rey, Finn and Poe went back in time to the Clone Wars…this would make the World Between Worlds even more of an important focal point and I could also see them get along well with Anakin, Ashoka, Rex and the rest of the 501st (it would be fun to see Rey, Finn and Poe join the 501st)

I hope these are some amazing ideas for some potential What if’s
