Scale 'Positions' Explained - Lead Guitar Lesson

On guitar, we can play any scale in 5 different positions on the neck. This is the same scale, same note names, just in different locations on the neck.

But what does this really mean? How can we learn this easier and in a practical way, rather than just in theory?

nice, but actually you have not explained positions.. where is pos 1, 2, 3 etc..?

You call this the 1st position, but some ppl call the open string position 'position 1'
