Coyote attacks family's dog in Illinois

A family's dog was attacked and injured by a coyote this week in Northfield, Illinois. CBS Chicago's Charlie De Mar reports.

That lady has no idea what she's talking about! As soon as that coyote got a better grip on that dog, he would have dragged him into the woods and ate him. Coyotes are predators, killers.

Coyotes don't mark their territory by attacking house pets. The coyote was there to eat and he would have been successful if he wasn't interrupted.

I like how the lady was sugar coating the situation, and was speaking in behalf of a wildlife biologist. The biologist would've told the truth that the coyote was there looking for an easy meal! As more fields are turned into neighborhoods the yard is now as it always was part of their hunting grounds. It just brought a different meat to their diet.

Yeah it was marking it's territory by attacking another dog in the winter. I'd have almost believed her if the coyote was taking a leak on the other dog's head.
