Great info. Never seen an edge blend done, only seen and/or did fenders, hoods, or whole vehicles. It came out really nice! 👍

Can you wet sand the blended edge to make it even more seamless if desired? Single stage non-metallic urethane.

Lol that was super cool of you with your son! Nice touch but great video man. I've been looking for videos on how to blend properly as I had someone shoot my car with a BB gun. Had to sand, etch primer, putty fill n sand, primer n sand, base, mid, clear + blend so thanks on showing these techniques!!

Great video. Question: if you were two-stepping it (base coat, clear coat) would you reposition a new soft edge further away, or, feather without an edge at all including a blender coat?

I'm spotting a few places on my 93 F350 dumper. I sure wish I had him help me a couple of hours.

"Edge Blending" sounds like it costs an extra $50 on top of the 1 hour outcall rate.

I had to replay the part with your son in it, THAT WAS SO COOL!!! I'm really digging the using two tapes to create that roll. Shaun, I REALLY appreciate you doing this video because as you know the Cobalt has some issues. I have a few questions:

1. In the video, you stated that it would be easy because the vehicle is white, what if the vehicle is another color, like the red Cobalt? Would the single stage blend into the clear coated base?

2. Which lasts longer; the single stage or using clear?

3. Can you apply clear over single stage?

Thanks again for this video Shaun!!

What about the overspray in your wheel well?

How's she goin'? That's a cool technique and it is very hard to see the blend line. The hard line on the body helps but it 'blends' across this line really good!!! Thanks for sharing!! Take care!!

You didn’t show the final result! How well does this technique work?
