This is super helpful. I would like to mention that if you’re looking for a 1 step process for meat conversion divide by 0.75. 3 oz cooked divided by 0.75 is 4 oz cooked :)

The same works in reverse using multiplication for raw to cooked: 4 oz times 0.75 gives you 3 oz

Using 0.75 will work on any portion size for meat :)

When I counted macros the pasta was always the most challenging. For the meat I would weigh my portion out raw and cook it separate then my family. This was so helpful for those that are tracking!

I feel like you had a video once that really helped and it was basically looking at the serving sizes and dividing the cooked food by that amount when cooking in bulk. it’s really eased my food prep concerns and helped me cook multiple portions easier!

You taught me how to track raw vs cooked foods & full recipes years ago. Thank you ! You took all the confusion and guessing out for me.

Super helpful. I tracked calories during my weight loss, then switched to macros for about 6 months. I really struggled with trying to be “perfect” with my numbers. Got me into a 🤬 it mindset for a bit. Switching back to calories for a while, but being mindful of macros. All that to say, still learning what’s best for my physical and mental health long term, and your videos have been a tremendous help! Appreciate you.

I know I'm late here but I'm trying to start counting my macros and for years I've always done this when it was cooked I never realised it was supposed to be done raw so it probably will explain why I could never burn the last but of belly fat cause I was over eating most likely what I'm struggling with is mainly the portion size of veg and rice and sweet potato I have I never know how to do this when it's cooked when I'm meal prepping

What if my pasta package says 100g cooked is 50 grams raw. I weighed 50 grams raw and cooked it and it was more than 100 grams. Would the calories change?

I track most things cooked because I cook for my family which is 4 adults. 😳 way too much work to cook my servings separately.
So if I weigh out 4 ounces of cooked boneless skinless thighs, could I just assume I need to add 25% more to my entries so it will track more accurately?
This was interesting. Thanks so much.

Im trying to understand pasta.?If the density and calories are in that form why would it change the calories just because it expands? It’s the same amount of chickpea or wheat?
There was no extra wheat added to its form in the boiling….? 3 oz’s of water not frozen is still 3 oz of water when it’s frozen? It didn’t become more water….but does in fact weigh more? It didn’t go up in caloric value because its form is now heavier…..I mean maybe I’m wrong but

Super helpful! As always, thank you Manders ❤️
I know it’s an odd question but your face looks a lot thinner, can’t tell if it was the Invisalign but did you do any more cosmetic things other than your lips? You look stunning. My face never shrinks no matter how much I lose weight 😔😤

Very helpful!! I always weigh cooked and track cooked. Only things I weigh raw then cook are oats and egg whites
