Thank god, this chicken issue has been driving me crazy. Finally a straight answer! Also, i was doing 165 cooked... so if it had been 165 for raw and more for cooked I would have been sad haha

I've been very confused with this chicken thing for a long while, ( i.e, i buy 500gm of chicken daily which after cooked becomes 340-350gm, my question here really is that how much protein do i get from this 340-350 gm according to your calculation in the video ? ) Cause I don't know whether I'm consuming more than I should or not

So how about when cooking a fatty meat like 80% lean beef? Using Cronometer, take an 80% lean burger at 7oz raw, which means 500 calories using the "raw" entry. But after cooking, it's less than 5 oz, which means 335 calories using the "pan-broiled" entry. I get the water loss makes it weigh less cooked, but the difference in calories is pretty stark. Is the data just inconsistent or am I not getting the calories I think I am?

Honestly I don’t understand how this works. If I weight and cook 100g of brown rice, will I have to weight it again when it’s cooked? How many calories will it be? 362 or 181?

Wait so 100 grams of uncooked pasta then turns into 225 grams of cooked pasta making it about 350 calories for 100 grams of raw to cooked pasta? Or is 100 grams of raw to cooked pasta 158

It’s the pasta and rice that get a lot of people I’ve found Curtis cause there’s such a massive difference in Cals MINT

I know this is an older video but hope you get a chance to reply.

Just so i understand, if i cook say 200 grams of pasta, and 200 grams of mince, couldnt i just read the caloric values of these items raw? Im just confused as to why one would want to know the cooked value? If you planned to eat 200 grams of pasta are you going to now include the water weight ? Probably not right, so why calculate the cooked weight.
