Thank you so much for this! Almost got melatonin for my daughter who doesn’t fall asleep well at night. I didn’t feel settled about it and put it back. I’m glad now I did!

I have used melatonin off and on. My oldest son received the most almost all the way through kindergarten so he would go to bed on time and get up on time. Unfortunately, what I noticed is he got extremely defiant and growly during the day the more and more we used it. He also seemed like a zombie at other times. It was very weird. I’ve noticed the same thing in my younger sons when I use it occasionally. So, I’m very hesitant to use it unless very very needed.

I think I was some time of sleep disability so I want to start taking theses bc my grandparents said I should and they’ll help. I’m going to the doctors to see what I could do.

I think your data is incorrect on the amount of melatonin in OTC products. Matthew Walker has a video on YouTube that states that amounts are 80% lower to 460% higher. You said they can be 400x higher. That’s the equivalent of 40000% higher. Please correct your misinformation.
