Показать описание
In this new video, you’ll learn what fatty liver disease is, and the #1 diet tip to reverse it.
This has been a long-awaited video topic requested by multiple people.
Often when someone is diagnosed with prediabetes or type 2 diabetes, they are also altered that they have non-alcoholic fatty liver disease.
This can feel like a double punch in the gut. 👊👊
Fatty liver disease is becoming more and more prevalent. 25% of the US population have non-alcoholic fatty liver disease.
There are likely more cases that are undiagnosed. That’s because fatty liver disease often shows no obvious symptoms, and labs are using “normative” data based on a generally unhealthy population.
Fatty liver disease used to be largely attributed to alcohol consumption.
But as people have increased their intake of sugar, we’ve seen a steep rise in non-alcoholic fatty liver disease.
When consumed in excess, alcohol and sugar (specifically fructose) have a near-identical damaging effect on the liver.
The good news is that in early states, fatty liver disease can be completely reversed.
Insulin resistance is the strongest known predictor of developing non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, increasing the risk of having it by 15 times compared with an insulin-sensitive person. To start lowering your insulin resistance, follow the advice found in our Insulin Resistance Diet Starter Course (linked below).
