I play my Xbox a lot and sometimes for whatever reason my controller will not turn on and keep me from playing my games. In this quick guide video, I show you what I usually do and check to get my Xbox controller powered on again and working well. It may seem pretty straight forward, but the issue with your Xbox controller wont turn on is usually because of a battery issue. Either the batteries are completely dead, missing or getting low on power. You also want to check to see if your controller powers on when you hardwire it directly to your Xbox console.

For the people watching this video rolling there eyes cause they know none of this will work and there charger is charged. Just restart your PC lmao. As the PC was turning off I could turn on the controller again without it going out after a second. You went to try the update method and there were no updates. I know, I know 😂😂. Some other helpful tips. Make sure that you are not holding your controller upside down. Do not operate the controller in the ocean. Are you holding your controller or is it actually a banana? Make sure you are connecting to an Xbox One and not a 1986 Chevy Cavalier. Ensure that the lights are on in your house, controllers will not work during a power outage.

The problem I've got is that the pack is charging, the little green light comes on the pack when it's plugged in but the minute you take the cable out it doesn't work. Microsoft if you see this know that none of the playstation controllers do this. Since the PS1 every single controller I had worked and still works to this day. Since the 360 however I've gone through more xbox controllers than I have dirty socks. Why are they so bad at making things that don't randomly break? Do Land Rover make their stuff or something?
