This is an incredible story. This a beautiful example of how dangerous the Arctic truly is. I watched "the Terror" and it gives a pretty accurate idea what the crew and officers went through.

I have always been fascinated with this story. Ever since my mom told me they story when I was about 7 (a watered down censored version) and I loved it. If you want to learn more about it i suggest reading “Graves of ice” it’s a great book (not recommended for people under 10 years old). I feel like this terrible tragedy was not explained or told enough and I’m glad it’s finally getting a bit of attention! ❤️😁

Great video. The only criticism is to please include degrees Celsius along with Fahrenheit when referring to temperature. This little detail makes a huge difference.

My great great great grandfather was a doctor who had sailed with Capitan Franklin multiple times and was supposed to be on that final expedition. Instead, he was allowed to return home for the birth of his son who he named Franklin in honor of who he described as the greatest man he has ever known. The name Franklin is still used in our family today.

Such an interesting and scary story at the same time. The series did a good job portraying aspects of this story even if they added a supernatural aspect.

The recent discovery of the ship also filled a lot of questions regarding what happened and gave us a pretty clear image of the events and circumstances.
