1. As the video mentioned, stay calm. If you are prepared for the worst, the result may come out to be the best. As long as you know your limit.

2. This guy is also not worried or panicking, its more likely the fact he has a rope on him knowing if he got screwed over, he can backtrack using the rope. For the least, he has a sense of safety using the rope to make sure he doesnt get lost under the ice.

3. It is kinda hilarious how the crew does freak out more than the guy. Even though they should have known even if he has failed, he has the rope.

Although if the swimmer had continued to persist, he might have drowned. At least he realized quick he’s lost and backtracked sooner so he wont drown on his way back. A good sense of knowing when he’s lost without trying so hard to find the exit.
