$700 for PS5 Pro is OUTRAGEOUS

Call of Duty Black Ops 6 gameplay While I talk about these shocking $700 price of the PS5 Pro. I think Sony must hate Gamers because this console is outrageously overpriced. They even increase the price of the Dual sense and dual sense Edge controllers. I don't know what Sony is thinking but these new features don't really appeal to any Gamers.

700 dollars for 1.6 terabytes? That 'extra space' is gonna fill up quick and so you'll need an external drive just like before. Should have been 2-3TB.

I am pretty sure those specs are all wrong. The CPU didn't change, the memory didn't get an upgrade as far as I know.

I’m surprised you didn’t get into inflation here. In Nov 2020 the ps5 was $499, which is $603 in Aug 2024 money. All told the ps5 pro is only about $97 more than the ps5 at release.

I honestly think nobody would be complaining if they made it $600 and then had one with the disk drive for $700. That way it would be $500 for digital edition, $600 you can either get the disk drive or the pro digital edition, and then $700 was the pro with disk drive. Would have made their lineup make way more sense

I know the ps5 and series X have now been out for 4 years, but most games barely even make use of the technology or don't just go for 1440p higher frames instead of pointless 4k.

In the uk, a ps5 pro and a disc tray to go with it costs $1050 because the playstation products aren't being sold accurately to conversion rates...

Ps5 pro with same cpu is a big mistake it is impossible ps5 pro able to run gta 6 60fps that’s what make developers holding back because how Sony use a weak cpu it is harder to development

$700 isn't that much more then the original digital PS5 was at launch of you account for inflation. it's only a $230 increase so.... the problem is inflation only increases the cost of items but doesn't increase our pay. you realize the cost of that GPU is way more than the price increase of the PS5 right. not including the ram or storage increase cost in parts. yes Sony gets a discount for buying in bulk but still look at AMD selling handheld gaming devices with that GPU for $899+ with similar ram and less storage.

My problem with the price is that your paying for the resolution bump but that's if the developers implement it. A lot of games won't even get the same benefit and will run just as much as the PS4 can

I would never compare building a PC to buying a console. You're paying for convenience. Linus explains a little on the behalf of PCs. Mentions you can just upgrade you're PCs GPU for that price. He also mentioned that, if you try for inflation, it still isn't the most expensive console they come out with.
Price of video games and their platforms needs to go up. There has been years and years of cuts backs to retain that price that the consumer is comfortable with, but it comes at a tradeoff of quality.

Those PS5 Pro specs you have listed in the beginning is a side-by-side or false it's a RDNA 3 part with 60 compute units with some features from amd's next gen GPU architecture both will have 16 gigs of RAM but the PS5 Pros will be clocked faster and the CPU got a slight overclock and that's it
