700 dollars is around 635 euros. The PS5 Pro costs 800 euros.
700 dollars is around 535 pound. The PS5 Pro costs 700 pound.
700 dollars is around 99, 555 yen. The PS5 Pro costs 120, 000 yen.
Edit: All of this is tax free btw. Taxes are per state so they vary. Regardless this means that countries pay noticeably different amounts for an already overpriced product

£700 = $914.26 USD. Why are they unfairly targeting the UK with a price hike?

EDIT: Too many people in this thread are misunderstanding basic maths. The VAT in britain is 20%. If you add 20% to $700, you get $840. You might notice that $840 is significantly lower than $914.26. Please stop telling me how "the difference is made up by VAT" or other taxes. You are simply parroting a talking point without doing the slightest bit of research. It's literally just 700*1.2.

The price is approaching to the point of uselessness. A console is meant to be a cheap alternative to a computer with limited features. And now, that price is approaching how much computers are and is a still limited. The regional prices too in other countries are such a scam, where theyre charging like 800 euros for the basic console which is nearly 900 USD. I saw many people trying to praise the Playstation 5 Pro for its terabytes, even though thats completely irrelevant to graphical performance. I don't see those people praising it now

In turkey; You have to work like 4 to 5 MONTHS to get one; and this one does not includes disc driver, controller, games that for some reason more overpriced than outside world, stand, and you must work without paying accomudation, food or something else. This is crazy. Funnier part is, with this price you can get a fairly high end gaming pc with some humble equipment.
