PS5 PRO Is $700...WHAT THE HELL SONY?

We’re four years into the PS5’s lifecycle, and we’re only just now getting to the point where it feels like developers are beginning to properly leverage the console.

As it is, a more powerful version of the PS5 at this point in the generation seems completely unnecessary- but not only is Sony releasing the PS5 Pro, it has also made the mind-boggling decision of selling the console at a whopping $700.

That is a ridiculous price to pay for most any devices, but to set that price for a mid-gen refresh that is clearly offering incremental upgrades at best, on top of a console that itself has barely got off the ground so far, is a spectacularly terrible decision. Here, we talk about all of that and more.

They have started to break up the Playsation into pieces and its still overpriced, here is the real price if you want the complete package. PS5 Pro console $700, Disc Drive $80, Console Stand $30, The price for a complete Playstation Pro is $810. Dont be shocked if in the future Sony just send you the parts and you pay to assemble it.

Sony: Lets drop a PS5 Pro console and price people out the ass at $700. While doing this we're not going to include a stand, (that'll cost you an additional $30) and its not going to have a disc version, (if you want an attachable disc accessory you have to pay up $80). It's not worth the $700 price tag. If I want to play Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart and Grand Turismo 7 I'll play them on my HP OMEN 45L gaming PC that shits on the PS5 Pro! A massive fail from SONY.

Forget the price, the fact that they are asking for a mid gen refresh for the worst console generation ever. It feels like we never left the initial post launch lull for games, ya know what I lied that price is an absolute dump on our collective chests!

The pure lunacy of buying digital games. Physical media is the singular reason I'd ever consider owning video games, period. You buy a $30-$50 physical game used, get to play it as much as you want, it's then STILL worth $30-$50. You keep it for 20+ years and it becomes worth $70-$100. You get every dollar you ever paid back and sometimes extra. I've been doing this with the Switch for 5 years and have made a couple thousand in flips and my entire collection of games and consoles was effectively free, all due to the power of a physical game's resale value. A digital game's resale value is and will always be zero.
