Jordan "the master" Peterson 🤗

Thank god we still have this man in our lives. His frank, no nonsense intelligent speaking cuts through so much of the effing bullshit we see and hear everyday.

Truth will always prevail Jordan. Well said and shoutout from the Uk 🇬🇧

Smartest person I'm aware of on the planet. I've listened to him for a few years, he struck me as someone that could explain my own thoughts and views better than I could myself! I think this is because nobody else on was singing the same tune, the mainstream media in the UK fails to represent any foresight whatsoever.

Edit: until GB news came along

I can't lie. I burst out laughing at myself whenever I do, I'm so bad at it, and give myself away. I'm a legend in my family. Don't ask her to...!! God knows I've tried.

"You swallow enough lies and your state becomes a monster ... I think it's a matter of figuring out what to be afraid of ... I'm more afraid of silence and lies."
What a profound observation and realisation. We need to think about it and how it applies - or should apply - to ourselves. I accept that I myself need to do very much better in this respect, and have to stop skirting around issues which are fundamental and important, both to me personally and to society more generally. A hard lesson, Dr Peterson, but I shall work on it. Thank you for your wise words.

I have an honest rule about lying. I will not lie for personal gain not ever but I will lie to protect myself and others, not a single qualm about doing so, well, qualms, the harm caused by the lie has to be much lessor than the harm caused by the truth eg I know where a good person is hiding from a corrupt abuse by the authorities, I will lie about knowledge of the good person's location.
Lying for gain, strictly forbidden, at least by me.

Brilliant interview. Jordan Peterson is the single greatest man to ever come out of that frozen tundra called Canadia!

I can never hear that advice enough. The tendency to lie, even a little, is very seductive.

We're all liars and there's no one we lie to more than ourselves. Lies hold everything together.

You can have a top-of-the-range computer or an incredibly high IQ, but rubbish in = rubbish out.
For example, material explanations can not hold water if 'reality is not ultimately material. Computer models can only give correct predictions if all of the relevant data and parameters are known.
One can not speak the truth if one does not know what it is. Therefore, truth requires knowledge. This is only made available to those who seek it and are willing to do the hard work necessary to find it.
One thing you can be reasonably sure about. If you learned it at a church, school, or university it is highly likely to be either half wrong, essentially wrong, wrong, or dangerously so.

Didn't he once claim he didn't sleep for 25 days?

I used to think Jordan Peterson was clever and witty (e.g. "I act as though a God exists") but I came to realise its mostly obfuscation.

Sorry, can't listen. I really tried! Jordan's voice is like chalk on a blackboard for me. I honestly don't understand how the rest of you are able to. Thanks to the written word I can explore his ideas.
