Dr Peterson, when your voice get all emotional, I so get it, because that what happens to me too! It’s involuntary, but it is so encouraging because you mean what you say. I get so tearful and cannot speak, and people get uncomfortable, but when we recover it’s All ok!

I never had any encouragement growing up. I’ve never had an ex partner tell me how grateful they are to have me. I’ve never felt appreciated by my children. My mother was/is a narcissist.
I’m currently single as my ex was using me for his needs.
It’s sad. I’m in my 50’s now and scared to be in a relationship again. I’m confused in this strange planet. I have given it to God.

We often look to the Lord for comfort and encouragement but perhaps we could comfort and encourage God. If so there's only one way to do so. Encouraging ourselves and others in faithfulness in all situations. Do this and you will be blessed. God suffers and has suffered more than anyone.
