As a male nurse you’re right. I make 127k with benefits working remotely. Tons of opportunities especially for men.

I have a bachelors and masters in accounting. It isn't rocket science but sometimes the accounting profession makes it rocket science so that we can charge our clients more. Also, I'm glad that Shane said accounting probably won't go away because all my friends who don't know what accounting is are telling me that it's gonna be replaced by machines and I'm like hey, just because buzzfeed said accountants are gonna be replaced by ChatGPT doesn't mean its true. This profession is not concerned about AI, Automation, or machine learning in the slightest. If anything, accountants have been waiting for decades for these technologies to come to fruition so that we can focus on other tasks.

The video editing within your videos has improved IMMENSELY! I remember you convinced me to switch careers a few years back (thank you btw), and seeing those videos compared to these newer ones shows me how much time has passed and how far we’ve both progressed. Keep up the great work Shane!!

i think people misunderstand what he means when he says “easy”.

its college. you’re gonna have to work for any degree that gets money.

but compared to like mechanical engineering or biochemistry, yes, all of these degrees are pretty easy

I'll just throw this out there. My sis-in-law is a high school drop out. She got her nursing degree in 3 years, went on to get a masters, & is considering going for a PhD. Now... despite dropping out of high school, she's an amazing, highly-motivated person who just loves what she's doing as a nurse, so that definitely helps

Commenting for the algorithm...great job Shane! I've been watching your videos since I graduated from college in something I didn't see myself doing for the rest of my life. I used to watch a lot of your videos back then and understood the importance of doing my own research and weighing the pros and cons of something. I am a grad student in bioinformatics now (was easy to transition) and I genuinely enjoy working. Never knew all this CS and programming stuff would be something I would enjoy doing, until I tried it.

I think there’s a confusion between the difficulty of the degree vs the profession. Yes nursing may be an easier degree than an engineering degree but as a profession I feel that can be debated, ofc depending on preference but imo I’d slightly edge nursing more difficult as a profession. This is coming from someone who wants to study CS

Shane illustrates all the points well. If a degree is hard for a specific individual(s), that doesn’t then make it a difficult degree!
Nursing is difficult, but compared to engineering and so forth, its easier!
The same goes with accounting, and others that were mentioned. Context!

Finally someone gets it. As a remote construction manager on site, I can finally share the feeling of how useful this degree really is. $84k per year with benefits and I can do hustles here and there since its remote on site

I got into data analytics with a CS degree. Honestly it's a pretty straightforward profession if you can nail down some Power BI and SharePoint.

Data analytics is relatively easy but it isn’t something I see myself doing unless it’s in a subject I’m interested in. Just a thought for those who are interested. Just try it.

Love the video, be careful when getting into a tech degree, a lot of companies are looking more for experience than a degree if you’re are not currently working at a tech company now then you should look for a job in one as you get your degree

Lol, I'm in graduate economics, and have taken some graduate finance classes (I did engineering in undergraduate). Economics in graduate school is actually quite rigorous. It is all the business and finance classes that are much easier. So much so that 6000 students are enrolled in the graduate commerce, and only 300 in graduate economics. As soon as you mix any of the economics students into finance classes, the economics students come out with the high grades, and when you put any of the commerce students into the economics class, it turns out they had to make new classes just for the commerce students where all the mathematics is removed, just because too many were failing. On top of that the hardest class for a Master of Commerce student majoring in Economics is the prerequisite class for the actual Master of Economics. Even people from a Masters in International Relations were struggling in Economics.
