As usual, great content. As someone who hacked a business degree, I find it to be very flexible. While it is general, it's a great starting point for a career in accounting, finance, etc.

Regarding the technology degrees, don't forget about Data Science. Tech fields are moving towards specialization and it is important to remember that not every degree prepares a person for every role in technology. As an example, coursework for Python programming and data sources does not necessarily prepare someone for IT support, management, networking, cybersecurity, etc.

6:30: As a heads up, Medical Illustration IS an actual- albeit rarely offered- major; back in 2004, there were exactly five colleges in the US that offered this, no idea what the numbers are today. Unrelated graphic novelist Phoebe Gloeckner actually took this as a major. Still, great video. Thanks for uploading! :)

This College Hacked youtube feature of 7 Best Online College Degrees have some illuminating details. Additionally, I confess that one of the online degrees referenced relates to a personal goal that I intend to strengthen for professional and monetary reasons by autumn 2025 andor sooner. I also enjoyed the persuasive feature from the youtube author referenced on what pursuing a college major communicates professionally about personal goals.

Mr. Stumme, thank you for pointing out the best universities for computer science degrees. However, this may be an intriguing question for you. Is computer science better than software engineering, in your opinion, or is it the other way around?

Thanks to you I’ve officially learned about a chipotle degree lol. My initial plan was to do a BSBA, minor in Marketing, and get my CAPM then PMP certifications for project management. Do you think Chipotle would be better for me?

Great video! Im a Dallas Cowboys fan and going for a business Degree so that hit me twice lol

I did have a quick question if you don’t mind. Would you consider a BA in finance and data analytics a finance degree or a business degree?

Here’s you a good question that I’ve never heard you speak of.. Can LinkedIn Learning courses count as credits? To be specific I applied to UMPI for May. I’m currently working on Sophia courses but my job pays for LinkedIn learning. There’s tons of courses on there. 🤔

I have a video that I would love to see.
I stumbled on your channel because my boss is someone who went to WGU and cranked out a bachelors and two masters degrees in under a year. I graduated Columbia University with a degree in Ancient History, and work in IT Consulting. So I am confident of two things. 1: Your specific undergraduate major is irrelevant to most careers and graduate schools as long as you have the prerequisite certifications. 2: The college you attend is irrelevant to all but the most selective companies as long as it is from a regionally accredited and not-for-profit school.

So, the video I would love to see is what is the absolutely fastest, easiest, and cheapest path someone could take to earn a bachelors at ANY regionally accredited not-for-profit school, with ANY major? What is best path for the average joe that just wants to check the "has bachelors degree" box on an application? What school, major, etc., and why.

Great video. I always enjoy watching your videos. I’ve been doing the teaching field for years now. I wanted to do my masters degree in early childhood education. Therefore, I want to do my masters degree in a major either in clinical mental health counseling, family and marriage therapy, or child psychology.

Thinking about starting Sophia to get credit for Liberal Studies at UMPI. Is it worth it to start Sophia (months) early? I have to wait because I won't be 20 for several months. I've thought about Liberty, but I've gotten the impression UMPI is cheaper and faster.

This is really helpful information, thank you! I have a question: Are there disadvantages to getting a Competency Based Bachelor's degree if you plan to go on to grad school? Do most CBE degrees show a GPA upon graduation? Thanks for any help you can provide.

A friend works in logistics but has no degree and is stuck. I told her about degrees offered but she really doesn't need the business stuff she said. Could a liberal arts studies degree be given a supply chain or logistics concentration? She does the work for people who have degrees so it's not a need to learn the job. More a need for the degree to open the door. Her friend in hr told her a degree will help.

Being ignorant, I always believed a general studies degree to be useless. Looking back at it all now, the Cliff Clavin degree supplies you with the tool of adaptability through broad spectrum education.
Because, out in the job market, it’s a bit uncommon to find people working within their original field of study.
