With culinary arts it's a double edged sword, because while most people are making low money, there are ways to make really good money in the field, such as working privately rather than a restaurant

Still photography is dead. Learn video. No money if you work for someone else. Get a degree in business, with a minor in your creative field. Creative services don’t pay employees anywhere near their worth, but self employed you can make good money plus deductions.
