Worst things to do before a workout that will hinder your gains Part 2

1. ❌ Big Meals. It causes more blood to flow to your digestive system and less to your muscles, leaving you weak and tired. Instead, wait 2-3 hours after a big meal before working out
or have a light snack instead of a big meal.

2. ❌ Training abs before heavy compound exercises. Because intense exercises like squats require a lot of core strength, training abs prior can weaken your lift.

Once a person came to the gym eating heavy on his first day. He lifted heavy and vomited on the floor. The owner made him clean up the mats and that was his last day at the gym.

Good tips... although with abdominal exercises... as long as proper exercises are done that involve minimal leg involvement... working your abs first can actually help to warm up your core.. preventing injury.. as well as allowing your core to be more stabilized during movements to keep your balance better... just pick the right exercises😁

Actually, I eat a fairly large meal (complex carb and protein, about an hour before working out and it helps me move more weight. I've watched a man (you might know him) by the name of Eddie Hall even eat at the gym. Furthermore, I do a light ab and Lat training regiment before DL and squats so those areas are warmed up. Again, it also helps me with stability and moving the weight. I'd like to see the science on these.

I always did abs 1st, in order to have the energy to do my workouts after. Rather max out, and not be able to do abs from fatigue. Thanks for the tip
