What is a “Mini Cut” and How do you do it?

Alright so a minicut is basically just a quick intensive cutting phase in the middle of a long bulk to prolong the amount of time you spend bulking. As I mentioned in my previous video, there comes a point where bulking becomes less productive as you gain more body fat, so implementing a quick fat loss period to lower your body fat will allow you to extend your bulk further without running into these problems. To do this, I recommend dropping your calories to maintenance for the first week then aiming to lose 1-2 lbs a week for the next 6-8 weeks by dropping your calories accordingly, or increasing your amount of cardio. Then when you're done, you can go right back into a surplus, or eat at maintenance again for the first week before upping your calories and continuing your bulk.

Minicuts are extremely effective at prolonging a bulking phase, and should be done at least once every 6-12 months. If you don't want to do a full cut, that's totally fine, but it's still beneficial to shred off some body fat after a long period of bulking to continue making progress. However, I like getting absolutely diced, so a full cut is what I personally prefer, summer here I come 😈

6-8 weeks? Bruh then you doing a full on cut and may as well continue with it. Minicuts are generally 2-4 weeks, high deficit (500-800, maybe more) because it's a short span and it's unlikely to give u any muscle loss.

A mini cut for me is a week, id lose 10 lbs if i simply ate what i felt like. Im on the perpetual bulk and im sure others can relate

Been bulking for pretty much two years, was super underweight. Reached 90kg recently and realised I look worse than I did at 85. Probably going to try this. As I do want to get heavier but not much fatter

6 weeks top, aiming for 0.75-1.25% bw per week. Minimize cardio to prevent catabolic pathways in your legs to 1/3rd of your deficit. Work MEV for the cut and focus on adding no sets and minimal weight.

So what is it about the initial bulk period that becomes inhibiting that the mini cut is required to "prolong" the bulk. Surely it just becomes 2 seperate bulks

Need some advice. I am skinny fat with a tummy. Should I focus on cardio to lose the fats first and then bulk or bulk first and then lose the fats when I am cutting? Much appreciated.
