My iPhone Won't Play YouTube Videos! Here's The Fix.

Two Apple experts explain what to do when your iPhone won't play YouTube videos. A lot of the time, this is the result of a poor Wi-Fi connection or an app crash. Make sure your iPhone is connected to a reliable Wi-Fi or cellular data network.

Close and reopen the app you're using to watch YouTube. You can also try using a different app to watch YouTube (Safari, YouTube App, Creator Studio). If your app continues to crash, delete and reinstall it.

1)If ur using youtube on safari, try the app. If using app, try safari.
2)Close all the apps
3)Clear history and website data for safari in settings.
4)Check wifi. If using wifi, try cellular. If using cellular, try wifi.
5)Delete youtube app and redownload.
6)Reset to default settings
Video in a nutshell for all with this problem and dont have access to a different computer, tablet, etc to watch

Nope. My YouTube app on my iPhone 7s allows me to watch videos, but when i try to click on the videos below the video I’m watching, you know on the “Up next”, I can click them, but they won’t play. The shade of color that acknowledges that I’m clicking on the video darkens around the selected video, but the video itself won’t open. So I have to go back and type that video’s title in the search bar to find it separately, and then click it to play if I want to see it.

So. What’s your advice with that?

I already shut down my apps, updated the YouTube app, turned the phone off and on. I have plenty of storage. My internet connection is stellar.

I already reinstalled the app. No change .It is as updated as it can B for my iPod since Apple has stopped making them.

Nice vid. My app would play shorts but not full vids. It took step 3, UPDATE the youtube app, then Update again, to fix mine. I guess my app was too old to update in 1 download. Thanks.

My problem is the video is not loading, but when I plug in normal earbuds or Bluetooth earbuds then they start to load

I have an iPhone 8. I bought a pair of Bluetooth earbuds for it . This created a problem because when my earbuds are connected my phone works flawlessly, however when they are disconnected I can’t play audio, video because it crashes my phone and restarts it sometimes it even does this when performing simpler functions. I must note that it can get calls and the audio works just fine on calls but anything else and it crashes like a wave. I have tried every option possible on Bluetooth settings reset settings, history and then after I did everything else I could think of I reset everything and reset my phone up from the beginning, but nope it’s still doesn’t work. I have even tried connecting it to other Bluetooth devices, it connects but still crashes and has the same problems as if it’s not. It’s like it’s soulmates with these particular earbuds and determined to stay faithful and can’t function without being connected to them any advice would be appreciated, thanks

Really surprised you two didnt mention the VPN. My VPN shut my youtube down. I set it the night before to turn on automatically, well that was a big mistake. Turn your VPN off people.
