YouTube App Picture in Picture - How To Enable It on iPhone !

I have updated and have all the settings on but cannot actually control it. I only found out I had the feature when it randomly activated once when I exited the app, but after that I can’t reproduce it myself. It only happens at random for me.

YT PiP is quite rare for me on iOS, it happens about 5% of the time and that’s only if I’m lucky. Your guide is helpful but I’m not a Premium user, which makes me question why I rarely got PiP while other services like say Netflix have it automatic.

I didn't even have option of pip on my youtube app setting although I'm using the latest version of app. 😢

I still didn’t get it. For two days I had only the message that says that the music content can’t be played. And then it just disappeared and I don’t have the option anymore. I also don’t have the option in settings. I am a premium user from Israel so I should be able to play in picture in picture mode.

Sometimes I swipe the screen and it goes to PIP, most of the time it just closes the window!! What gives??!!

In my general settings on my YouTube app the Picture in Picture option doesn’t show up as an option at all but it’s on in my phone settings though how can I get it to show up on my YouTube app?

I’ve been having this for a whole month now and I love it however I’m not sure if it’s just me but there’s some moments were it stops working no matter what video I play and I even make sure it’s not a music one and it still won’t work and yes I have picture mode active on both the app here and on General on my phone but sometimes it will work like literally the next day or hours later and sometimes it doesn’t like for this video it didn’t work now but I’m sure if I watch it again later it will work on it~ I wanted to know if people has had this problem before

Im in the US, dont have YT Premuim, have PiP in settings enabled, youtube up to date, but the setting isnt there in youtube. Im on an iPhone SE second generation. Help?

This is my main account that I use for YouTube and pip doesn’t work, if I sign out or use any other account it works. Not sure what’s the problem

So pip works on one of my YouTube accounts except for my creator account (this one I’m on now). Every time i switch between accounts i go to settings to see if pip is avalible and for this accout pip shows up as an option but as soon as i exit out of settings it removes pip from my settings! What could this mean?

As many others have said…I have the latest versions but no Picture in Picture switch. There was no fix available via a google search. Someone commented it’s a YouTube issue, so we wait….
