I appreciate your videos, as I am starting the process of leaving my narcissistic husband of 6 years, and I am struggling. He is VERY high-functioning - liked by all who meet him, always helpful, a star employee, etc. He does not have any close friends. I always knew there was something was "off, " but I think I was just in denial because I really wanted this relationship to be real, especially considering we have a son together.
The main thing I'm struggling with, is I believe he really has no idea what he is doing to me (and our son to some extent). It seems so engrained in his personality to manipulate, disrespect my boundaries, lie, etc. It is clear from knowing his mother that she did all of these things to him. It breaks my heart because it's not his fault, and it kills me that I can't help him. He is holding on tight and I know I'm hurting him by pulling away.... It is especially difficult because since I started standing up for myself, he has been nothing but sweet and giving, nothing like the raging I experienced with him before.
Do you have any advice for dealing with the sheer guilt I feel?
Thank you for taking the time to read this. :)

Great video, very useful. Pretty sure my mother is (was) a high functioning narcissist... I have decided to interact with her for more than a decade now...

I have sent you an email requesting you to watch joji. Please please please consider. A detailed psychological analysis would be very helpful for people to relate cuz it's a movie. Also it's different because it mainly focuses on the children than the narcissistic father though the father is cleverly charecterised. It has won an international award from sweden. The plot is also very interesting.
PS: I know you are not a movie reviewer but this is different. Please trust me🙏
